QA Battles ("the Service") is operated by The Testing Academy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account data — your email address, name, and avatar, provided through our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign up with email, Google, or GitHub.
• Profile data — the public username, experience level, and favorite tracks you choose during onboarding.
• Gameplay data — challenge submissions, scores, points, badges, streaks, and arena interaction telemetry (which areas of a test app you explored). Telemetry exists to score exploration coverage and improve challenges; it is never sold.
• Usage analytics — anonymous page analytics via Vercel Analytics. No advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To run the game: scoring, leaderboards, badges, streaks.
• To show public profiles and leaderboards — your username, level, XP, badges, and battle history are visible to others; your email never is.
• To send a welcome email on signup (via Resend).
• To keep the platform fair (rate limiting, anti-abuse moderation).

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share it with advertisers.
• We do not track you across other sites.

Data processors

We rely on Clerk (authentication), Neon (database), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Resend (transactional email). Each processes data solely to provide their service to us.

Your rights

You can update your profile at any time. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact us at support@thetestingacademy.com — we honor deletion requests within 30 days.
